Crest 40x56 Will Include the AutoChase™ as a Standard Feature
The 40x56 Crest is the first model to offer the new Weidhaas AutoChase™, designed to take the “Chaseless Die System” to the next level. The operator can easily place the die on the head of the clamshell and precisely lock the die into position quickly and automatically.
The AutoChase™ clamps the die with a beveled hardened bar driven from the top down and a second beveled hardened bar driven from the bottom up. The AutoChase™ provides a precise amount of pressure with very little make-ready. If you have too much pressure you can bow the die or the bars and too little pressure will create die movement - the AutoChase™ is designed to provide the right pressure regardless of the die size.
The use of a hoist is recommended due to the weight of the dies and/or heater body.
