Kiss Cutting - Weidhaas Clamshell Evolution
The Weidhaases manufactured their first clamshell in the United States in 1986 commonly referred to as the IT&M. Our customers often compared the IT&M to the traditional workhorse clamshell presses. In 1996, IT&M merged with Preco, and the Weidhaases engineered the Preco M3043. When Preco changed its focus, the Weidhaases decided to again produce their own presses and support Preco clamshell users through a service alliance with Preco.

Kiss Cutting - The Weidhaases introduced the Crest in 2000, once again responding to the need for increased tonnage and precision. Building on their many years of clamshell engineering, the Weidhaases built a press that surpassed both the Preco and the traditional Thomson. (To learn more about our company history, click here.)
